The mineral resources of Odisha form a very important constituent of India's mineral wealth. Odisha state Mineral Reserve includes a wide variety of ores and minerals such as Iron, Chromite, Manganese, Bauxite, Limestone, Dolomite, Nickel, Vanadium, Copper, Lead, Fireclay, China Clay, Graphite, Quartz and Quartzite, Rare Earth, other valuable minerals in Beach Sands and Non-coking Coal. Occupying an important position on the country's mineral map, Odisha's rich mineral reserves constitute 28% Iron, 59% Bauxite, 98% Chromite and 24% Coal of India's total deposits. Also, almost the entire Nickel and Platinum Group of Elements (PGE) deposits of the country are available in the state of Odisha. The International Symposium during CHEMCON-2020 will give a platform to discuss latest R&D on "Optimal Utilization of Chemical and Mineral Resources" preferably in the areas of Mineral Processing, Chemical Metallurgy and Materials through Invited Lectures by eminent experts from India and abroad. The International Symposium will be held on 28th December 2020. The participating countries include Canada, Australia, Africa, Norway, Turkey, etc.
